Just as apples and pears appear at farmers’ markets, my favorite line of of culinary salts has added a new addition to the collection. THE perfect Vanilla Bean Baker’s Salt launches Today. And Farmer Freed has plenty of suggestions about how to enjoy this slightly sweet, aromatic treasure.

Some of you may remember this post, where I introduced you to Farmer Freed‘s full line of Culinary Salts. The timing on the release of this new seasoning salt is perfect if you are baking apple treats for Rosh Hashanah, or any time this Autumn. Consider using this Vanilla Bean Baker’s Salt in place of the unflavored salt called for in your favorite recipe.

And because the blogosphere is a wondrous and friendly place to hang out, I point you to this useful round-up of The Best Apples and Honey Cakes for the New Year on Nosher. Thank you, Shannon Sarna, for making it so easy to access such an inspired variety of recipes.

    • What a great idea! Look for Farmer Freed’s PUCKER UP lemony salt, too. I am addicted to her herb salts. I don’t even bother putting them in my cupboard anymore.
