Sweet Lokshen Kugel with Plums

If it’s unthinkable to imagine your Yom Kippur break fast without Lokshen Kugel (AKA sweet noodle pudding)we’re in the same camp. If you haven’t had the pleasure of tasting creamy, cheesy, rich casseroles like these, you need to find yourselves some friends in the know.

The bright purple-pink plums scattered across the top of this version provide a sweet/tart contrast to the creamy pudding and a welcome pop of color. We never minded  the pale goodness of cream cheese, sour cream and eggs but who wouldn’t welcome fuchsia to the buffet line-up?

More on The Gefilte Manifesto AND a give-away coming up soon.

For now, think of this Lokshen Kugel as another ace in your kugel toolbox.
