Peanut Butter and Jelly Hamantaschen and Spring Cookie Give-Away

Peanut Butter and Jelly Hamantaschen and Spring Cookie Give-Away

Lil’ Miss Cakes (aka Melissa Kaye) has outdone herself by creating peanut butter and jelly hamantaschen! While traditional three sided doughy cookie treats are oozing with jam, Melissa decided to change up the dough, too. She mixed in ¾ of a cup of the nutty good stuff to infuse this hamantaschen dough with a whole new flavor profile.

Purim is celebrated on Sunday, February 24 this year. Surprise your crew with these peanut butter and jelly treats and kids of all ages (you know who you are) will all be shouting with glee.

And, because Melissa is such a generous baker friend, she’s conjured up these perfectly gorgeous and delicious sugar cookies to offer as a give-away to my readers. The winner will receive a baker’s dozen of these frosted spring treats, shipped directly to your home during the week of March 11!

    • Let us know how your pb and j hamantaschen bake up! And so glad to know that you like farmer Freed’s culinary salts. Keep supporting her delicious efforts and share with like- minded eaters, please!the make savory gifts!

  1. I woud love the spring flower cookies…maybe it will make spring come faster!
I just made Melissa’s ice cream cone for Mishloach Manot and they were a huge hit. I’m a big fan.

  2. Love the idea of alternative fillings for hamantashen, but for the cookie itself, even better! Do you know if these are a cake-y or crisper texture?
Spring flowers get my vote (though both are so pretty)!

    • I, too, was fascinated with the change in the dough. And who doesn’t love PB? I totally trust Lil Miss Cakes and know they must be out of this world! See Barbara’s comment. She baked them and said they are NOT cake-y.

  3. Also I did make them; they were definitely not cake like, but we would have liked a bit more sugar in the dough. They were an interesting twist, and I could conjur up many different fillings, not all of them sweet, that would be great with this dough.
