Honey Cake with Poached Pear Rose for your Holiday Dessert

When Marcia Selden advises me to MAKE THIS with bold caps, I know it belongs on one of our holiday tables this autumn.The only question is if we serve it when we break the fast after Yom Kippur or at the end of our pre-fast meal.

Either way, this is a beautiful classic to consider when pears and apples are at their peak of season freshest. It would make a lovely addition to any autumn or winter brunch, too.
