Essentials like Hawaij, is described like this: ” Hawaij is no wallflower, with its gorgeous golden hue and powerful fragrance. Originally from Yemen, this earthy spice blend is a favorite flavor in Israel, where it come to life in slow simmered dishes. Think of it as masala’s Middle Eastern cousin.”

There are hungry among us.

Consider a donation to Masbia Soup Kitchens, with locations in Flatbush, Queens and Boro Park, NY. Masbia is a network of community supported kitchens where clients can eat for free. They serve over 2 million kosher meals a year in two ways.

100,000 hot, sit-down dinners including a starter salad, beverage, soup, protein, two hot side dishes and a dessert are served each year. Meals are kosher and ALL guests are welcome. Masbia has created a restaurant-like setting, placing an emphasis on serving guests with dignity and respect.

In addition, emergency care packages are available for families who have homes to cook in but no means to buy ingredients. In order to create these packages, Masbia requires close to 50,000 pounds of food each week.

Imagine the challenges. ‘Nuf said. Donate to Masbia in any way you can by clicking here.
